What is SDGs
SDGs
Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are 17 goals adopted by the United Nations in 2015 and are a global effort to achieve sustainable development in the world by 2030. These goals include poverty reduction, universal education, gender equality, clean water and sanitation, and combating climate change.
The SDGs are positioned as guidelines for improving the quality of life for all people on earth, protecting the environment, and building peaceful and inclusive societies. Each country is expected to implement these goals domestically, and private companies and various organizations will work together to resolve issues.
What is ESG
ESG
ESG is an indicator that evaluates the sustainability of companies and investments, focusing on three elements: environment, society, and governance. Companies consider environmental impact, social responsibility, and management transparency, and investors evaluate these factors to promote sustainable business and investment. ESG reflects a mindset that emphasizes not only profits but also social value and environmental considerations.
